# Rancher

Rancher is used for managing Kubernetes cluster.

## What is a Rancher?

Rancher is a software product to manage Kubernetes clusters. This includes not only managing existing clusters but building new clusters as well.\
You can import existing clusters, either custom or managed clusters.

## Why Rancher?

Rancher adds a complete UI and workload management layer to Kubernetes. Rancher makes it easy for users to deploy services on Kubernetes and get visibility into everything running on a cluster.
