Repair

Repair allocation on the minority of blobber losing some operation that are synced by the majority

  • Repairing the allocation means to re-run the processes that the minority of blobbers lost, against the data on those blobber, in order to sync the data of the allocation on those blobber with the majority blobbers hosting the allocation.

  • Repair runs on an allocation if and only if the number of the blobbers on the latest version (synced) is EXACTLY equal to the number of data shards.

  • Repair occurs (if the check above if fulfilled) at the beginning of any allocation operation ran by gosdk or zboxcli, given MultiOperation is enabled.
