Create Enterprise Allocation

PreviousCreate Standard Storage AllocationNextCreate S3 Server Allocation

Last updated 5 months ago

Enterprise allocations are tailored for businesses and applications that require high performance, scalability, and customization in terms of availability and data control.

This feature utilizes enterprise blobbers and supports S3 setup workflows, enabling unlimited file storage with a fast query rate of less than 100 milliseconds for billions of files.

Features:

  • Unlimited Files and File Size: Enterprise allocations support an unlimited number of files and file sizes, making them ideal for large datasets or applications with extensive storage needs.

  • High Performance: Optimized for fast data access, with sub-100 millisecond performance.

  • Permissioned Blobbers: Requires the use of permissioned blobbers, which are vetted storage providers within the Züs network, ensuring higher reliability and meeting stringent compliance requirements.

  • Data Control and Availability: Enterprise users can easily add or replace blobbers, manage data shards, and configure redundancy to guarantee nearly 100% uptime.

  • Security and Compliance: Enterprise allocations can be made immutable, ensuring that stored data cannot be altered and that they are backed by robust split-key and data fragmentation technology for enhanced security.

  • 500 Million File Performance: Specifically optimized to deliver consistent, high-speed performance when managing up to 500 million files, ensuring seamless operation for enterprise-scale applications.

  • 40TB Large File Upload: Supports individual file uploads of up to 40TB, making it suitable for industries managing large-scale media, datasets, or backups.

Ideal for: Organizations that need a high degree of control over their data, require maximum performance and availability, and are storing mission-critical or sensitive information.

Step 1: Configure your allocation

On the top menu bar, select the Enterprise tab to navigate to the Enterprise Allocation page. On the Enterprise Allocation page, click on the + Create New Allocation button to initiate the process of creating a new allocation.

You will see a form that requires you to fill in specific details about your allocation. Below is an explanation of each field:

Field
Description

Allocation Name

Enter a unique name for your allocation. This name will help you identify it later.

Storage

Specify the storage size required for your allocation (e.g., 1TB, 5TB, etc.).

Duration

Select the duration of your allocation (e.g., 1 year, 2 years).

Enterprise Blobbers Only

Enable or disable this toggle to choose whether to use only enterprise blobbers for storage.

Read Price Range

Displays that all reads are free on Züs.

Brand

For enterprises, the default option is set to Züs-Only.

Data Shards

Adjust the slider to specify the number of data shards you require for the allocation.

Parity Shards

Adjust the slider to specify the number of parity shards required for error correction.

After filling in all the required details, click the Confirm button to create the allocation. If needed, you can click the Cancel button to exit the setup process.

Before creating an enterprise allocation, you must get permission from the Enterprise Blobbers by contacting Züs on the Discord Blimp channel.

Step 2: Confirm and Create Allocation

After confirming allocation details, you will be prompted to select storage providers (blobbers). By default, blobbers are selected based on geodiversity. However, you can manually choose up to 5 sharded blobbers (data + parity).

  • Click on the Add button next to the provider of your choice.

  • To view more details, click on the provider’s information.

  • Skip Option: If no manual selection is required, click on Skip to proceed with the default blobbers.

Step 3: Payment Process

After selecting providers, you will be directed to the payment window. Click on the Pay with USD button to proceed. There is an option of cancellation as well.

Step 4: Review Payment Details

Once you click on Pay with USD, a stripe payment link will be generated.

  • Review the payment details, including the allocation cost.

  • Enter your payment information (credit card or other supported methods).

  • Confirm the payment by clicking on Pay.

Step 5: Confirmation

After payment, you will see a confirmation popup of Purchase Successful!

Step 6: View Allocation Details

On the Enterprise Allocation page, your newly created allocation will be listed with the following details:

  • Allocation Type: Enterprise.

  • Name: Name of the allocation (e.g., "Images").

  • Allocation ID: Unique identifier for your allocation.

  • Used Storage: Tracks utilized space (e.g., 0 bytes of 50 GB).

  • Expiration: Displays the expiration date (e.g., Nov 22, 2025, 11:18 AM).

  • File Permissions: Indicates permissions status (e.g., Allow All).

  • Ensure all details are correct before confirming the allocation.

  • If you cancel the allocation after payment, a portion of the tokens may be refunded, but USD refunds are not available.

  • Use enterprise blobbers only if strict requirements for enterprise-grade performance and security are necessary.

Select Option: Lets you manage allocation settings. More details in .
