Last updated 1 day ago

Vult offers a secure migration interface that allows you to transfer your files from popular cloud storage providers directly into your Vult account.

Whether you're migrating from AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive, Vult ensures a guided, authenticated flow to safely import your data with fine-grained control.

Each integration includes:

  • Simple authentication using your existing cloud credentials

  • Flexible migration options, such as file conflict resolution (replace, skip, duplicate)

  • Date-based filtering, allowing selective transfer based on file creation/modification dates

  • Real-time progress tracking and success notifications

Explore the step-by-step migration workflows below for each provider and bring your data into the Züs ecosystem with confidence.

AWS S3 to Vult

Follow these steps to migrate your files from an AWS S3 bucket into your Vult account:

Step 1: Initiate AWS S3 Migration

  • Navigate to the Migration card on your Vult dashboard.

  • Click the AWS S3 button to start the process.

Step 2: Provide AWS S3 Credentials

  • When you click the AWS S3 button, a set of input fields will appear directly within the Migration card.

  • Fill in the following required details:

    • Access Key: Your AWS access key ID

    • Secret Key: Your AWS secret access key

    • Bucket Name: The name of the S3 bucket you want to migrate from

    • Region: The AWS region where the bucket is located (e.g., us-east-1, ap-south-1)

Once the credentials are verified and the connection is successfully established, a "Successfully connected to S3" notification will appear.

Ensure the credentials have read access to the specified bucket.

Step 3: Configure Migration Options

After entering your credentials, configure the migration settings as follows:

  • File Migration Option:

    • Replace Already Migrated Files

    • Skip Already Migrated Files

    • Duplicate Already Migrated Files

  • Date Range:

    • Optionally, select a time range to migrate only files created or modified within that period.

  • Once configured, click Start Migration.

Step 4: Monitor and Complete the Migration

  • The migration will start, and its progress can be tracked in the Vult dashboard.

  • Once completed, a notification will confirm the file transfer.

Azure Storage to Vult

Follow these steps to migrate your files from Azure Storage to your Vult account:

Step 1: Initiate Azure Migration

  • Fill in the following required details:

    • Access Key: Your Azure storage account access key

    • Account Name: The name of your Azure storage account

    • Container Name: The name of the Blob container you wish to migrate from

Once the credentials are verified and the connection is successful, a "Connected Successfully" notification will appear.

Ensure the access key has read permission for the specified container.
