The Manage Allocations section allows users to view and manage their storage allocations effectively. Below is a detailed explanation of the key elements on this page.
You can access these pages by selecting the "Manage Allocations" button on the left menu.
By default, the page shows you all the allocations you have in all types:
For each allocation, the following fields are viewed:
The actions menu of each allocation include:
The Ellipsis (...
) section in the Manage Allocations interface provides advanced options for managing and customizing your storage allocation. Below is a detailed description of each option:
1. Upgrade Storage
To upgrade your allocation storage:
Select Upgrade Storage from the options. A popup window will appear with storage size options. You can select predefined sizes such as 50GB, 100GB, 1TB, etc., or input a custom size.
Once the storage size is selected: A confirmation window will prompt you to proceed with the payment. Click Pay with USD to initiate the payment process. The payment process will redirect to a Stripe-hosted payment page. This is where you enter your payment details.
To rename an existing allocation:
From the dropdown menu, select Rename. A popup window will appear with the current allocation name displayed. Enter the new name for your allocation in the provided field. Click Rename to confirm your changes.
To view the storage providers (Blobbers) associated with your allocation:
From the dropdown menu, select View Storage Providers. A popup window will appear displaying detailed information about the storage providers.
To add a Blobber to your storage allocation, follow these steps:
Select the Add Blobber option. You will see a list of available Blobbers displayed with details. Click the Add button next to the Blobber you want to include in your allocation. Once the Blobber is selected, click the Confirm button to proceed.
A confirmation dialog will appear. You will be prompted to pay for the Blobber. Choose one of the following options:
Pay from existing ZCN balance if you have sufficient funds.
Buy using your credit card, which will direct you to a payment gateway.
Follow the payment instructions to finalize the Blobber addition. Once paid, the Blobber will be added to your allocation.
Replace Blobber
To replace a Blobber in your storage allocation, follow these steps:
Select the Replace Blobber option. A list of currently allocated Blobbers will appear with details such as:
Provider ID
Host Name
Allocated Storage
Unallocated Storage
Health
Quality Score
Click the Select button next to the Blobber you want to remove from your allocation. Once you select a Blobber to replace, click the Next button to proceed.
You will then be prompted to select a new Blobber from the available list to replace the one you removed.
After selecting the new Blobber, confirm the replacement. You may be required to pay additional fees based on the new Blobber's cost or configuration.
To cancel an allocation and receive a refund of your unused ZCN:
Select the "Cancel" option from the dropdown menu. A popup will display refund details, including:
Used ZCN: The amount already consumed.
Cancellation Fee: The nominal fee deducted for the process. Only applicable if allocation used is less than 20% and calculated as 20% of total-used.
Allocation Refund: The remaining balance to be refunded.
Click on "Confirm Cancellation" to proceed. After confirmation, you’ll see a success message stating the refunded ZCN amount. The refunded ZCN will be added back to your wallet.
To make an allocation immutable, follow these steps:
Select the "Make Allocation Immutable" option. Setting the allocation to immutable will restrict operations. You will only be able to upload and download files; deletion or modification will no longer be possible. The operation is irreversible.
Click "Confirm" to proceed. If you do not wish to proceed, click "Cancel" to exit.
Once confirmed, your allocation will be set to immutable. You can continue uploading and downloading files securely.
Züs System offers 4 types of allocation, which you can create/manage using this page of the Blimp App.
Store your data on the Storage Servers (called Blobbers) hosted on the standard cloud by the Züs System, for a secure and resilient decentralized storage experience. Configure your storage allocation to increase replication factor and make sure your data is highly available and stormproof.
To view and manage this type of allocation, choose "Standard" from the top menu.
You can also create a new allocation of this type by clicking the "Create New Allocation" button in the upper right corner, which redirects you to the Multi-Cloud Storage Allocation creation flow.
Enterprise allocations are tailored for businesses and applications that require high performance, scalability, and customization in terms of availability and data control.
This feature utilizes enterprise blobbers and supports S3 setup workflows, enabling unlimited file storage with a fast query rate of less than 100 milliseconds for billions of files.
If you're familiar with the AWS S3 API, you don't need to readapt with a new API. With the S3 allocation mode, you can still enjoy the perks of the Züs System (Decentralization - Three-layer Security - Free egress) while accessing your data the same way you used to.
To view and manage this type of allocation, choose "S3 Server" from the top menu.
You can also create a new allocation of this type by clicking the "Create New Allocation" button in the upper right corner, which redirects you to the S3 Server Allocation creation flow.
Migrate your data from AWS to Züs for higher security, better performance and free egress, and enhance the usage of your data on all the use cases.
To view and manage this type of allocation, choose "Cloud Migration" from the top menu.
You can also create a new allocation of this type by clicking the "Create New Allocation" button in the upper right corner, which redirects you to the Cloud Migration Allocation creation flow.
